California Assembly Bill 685 (AB685) requires employers to notify employees at the work site if there is a positive case of someone who has been working on site. Employees receive an emailed “COVID-19 Notification” if you were in the same area on site at the same time as a person who tested positive for COVID-19. We use our badging/access system to help determine whether you might have been in the same area, using a broad definition of “area.” Receiving a “COVID-19 Notification” email does not necessarily mean you have been exposed or were in close contact with the individual who tested positive. If you were in close contact, you would be contacted directly, typically via telephone, as soon as we learn of your exposure.
Return to Work Charts relative to when staff may return to onsite work are regularly updated, based on information gathered from health-related resources, such as the California Department of Public Health, LA County Public Health Department, Cal/OSHA and CDC. The latest chart is posted on GO under the Caronavirus link on the main page.
